If you’re not sure how the Children’s Allowance works, the following might help.
First of all, there are 2 different payments that any parent or guardian is entitled to, per child:
- Children’s Allowance
- Children’s Allowance Supplement
The Children’s Allowance you are entitled to depends on whether your annual income is more or less than €25,924:
- If you earn less than that amount, here’s everything you need to know.
- If you earn more than that amount, here’s everything you need to know.
- If you have more than one child, here’s everything you need to know.
The Children’s Allowance Supplement is added on to this. More information about this can be found here.
Hope this helps!
